Aftercare FAQs

Showers and Bathing

when showering and bathing, do not allow the tattoo to soak in the water.

Normal showers are fine, this is a great time to wash your tattoo with your antibacterial soap. Avoid a direct stream of water onto your new tattoo during showering.

Do not go swimming or use a hot tub while your tattoo is healing.

Do not submerge your tattoo in either chlorinated, dirty or natural bodies of water (including lakes, rivers, ocean etc) while it is healing.

Sunshine and UV exposer

While your tattoo is healing, you should avoid direct sun exposure on the area. You cannot use sunscreen on the tattoo during the healing process.

However, after your tattoo is healed, you should use sunscreen to protect your skin and to keep your tattoo looking bright and sharp, SPF 50 is best!

None sentenced Lotion and soups

Be sure to use your provided aftercare, however, if for some reason an allergy to our in house aftercare making it unavailable, choose a color free non-scented lotion, such as Eucerin, or Aquaphor.

Soaps that contain fragrances may contain alcohol or chemicals that could:

  • Irritate your skin
  • Cause your skin to be dry
  • Interfere with your tattoo by making it fade faster
  • Prolong the healing process

Sleep and Hydration

Getting plenty of rest both before or after your tattoo is critical to the healling process. Sleep is when our body takes the time to repair itself. Its importiant to give your body the extra sleep eye it needs, not doing to can actually slow down the healling of your new tattoo.
